Sharon Rowe

Sharon has 15 years’ experience in providing legal advice to the Australian Government and private sector clients. She was formerly a Partner at DLA Piper and prior to that, worked at Minter Ellison and Deacons.

In these roles, Sharon has worked on high-profile, complex and high-risk matters, including advising on the procurement projects for high value defence materiel, negotiating and drafting complex intellectual property joint ventures and developing funding agreements for high profile programs. Sharon also is recognised for developing and delivering high quality practical legal training.

Sharon was previously a Member of the Australian Capital Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal and a lecturer at the Australian National University, where she was the Convenor of the Consumer Law Practice unit at the Legal Workshop.

She holds a Masters Degree in Law and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Tasmania.

Sharon is a co-author of Outsourcing: A Practical Guide published by Globe Law and Business, 2015.  She has been listed in Best Lawyers Australia in the Government Category since 2012 and has also been listed in the Intellectual Property Category for the past 2 years.
